SPACE Mobile App Changelog
New features and bug fixes can take hours or weeks. If you don't see anything recent below, it means we're actively working on them. Below is a list of live updates:

React Native upgrade completed!
- The completion of the biggest upgrade in the app's history. In April 2026 we began upgrading React Native, the technology the SPACE app is built on, from version 0.66 to 0.86. That is twenty versions in one jump, plus React Native's new architecture underneath. It touched almost every screen, introduced new bugs and issues, and required hundreds of hours of testing. The good news is that we finally closed it, and uploaded the new app to each store. If you find any bugs, please email us and let us know!
App Version 2.3 - October 28, 2026
- Upgraded on Android: the app now follows Android 16's rules for apps, which Google Play requires for every update. Before, it followed Android 15's. It also leaves out an older part that Google Play warned could make the app crash on some newer phones.
- Changed: the app's version number no longer ends in ".0". This version reads "Version 2.3" at the bottom of "Settings", where the last one read "Version 2.2.0". A third number is added only when it is more than 0, for example 2.3.1.
- Changed: we've updated the "Update Required" pop up to now push users to upgrade the app if there are 2 or more updates available.
- Added: you can now ask for your SPACE account to be deleted from the app. At the bottom of "Help and Support", tap "Delete my account". It explains that your account and all its data are deleted by hand, which takes several weeks, and that nothing can be recovered afterwards. Tap "Email Support" and your mail app opens with the request already written. SPACE then logs you out. "Cancel", the X or a tap outside closes it without doing anything.
- Added: on the "Lockdown" tab, a moving hint now draws your eye to the swipe. The arrows beside "Swipe to engage" or "Swipe to disengage" gently bounce, and a soft shine keeps sweeping across the words in the direction you swipe. Before, the words and arrows stood still. If your phone is set to reduce motion, the hint stays still.
- Improved: the app now checks for a new version each time you open it or come back to it, and the check keeps your details more private. Before, it checked only when the app started fresh. If you close the "Update Available" message with the X, it comes back the next time you open the app until you update.
- Improved on Android: tapping "UPLOAD NEW IMAGE" for your safe's lock screen picture now opens Android's own photo picker, so you choose straight from your photos. Before, it opened a "Pick an image" chooser.
- Improved on Android: the app is now smaller, because its code is compacted and optimized, as Google Play recommends.
- Improved: on the "Lockdown" tab, the track you swipe along now looks as it was designed: a soft shadow inside its top edge, a fine outline, and a fill that fades from pale blue to white. Before, it had a dark shadow underneath and one flat color. The arrows beside "Swipe to engage" and "Swipe to disengage" are also darker and a little larger, so they are easier to see.
- Improved: when you change your phone number or email in your profile, the "Verify your identity via", "Sent! Please retrieve your OTP" and "Verify your identity" sheets, and the "Contents of Safe" pop-up in "Device Settings", now slide up and down in a third of a second, with the dark background fading in and out with them. Before, they took 0.7 seconds or more, and the dark background did not keep pace. In your profile opened from "Home", the "Sent! Please retrieve your OTP" sheet now slides up too, instead of just appearing.
- Fixed a bug where "Security and Settings" could show your safe with no lock screen picture, and the lock screen picture page could say "No Image Selected", even though a picture was set. Once you had opened a safe with no picture, or deleted a picture, every safe's picture stayed hidden, even after closing the app, until you uploaded a new one. Now the app shows each safe's current picture every time.
- Fixed a bug where, on the live camera, the flashing alarm button that shows while your safe's alarm is sounding sat a little lower than the "Sound Alarm" button it replaces. It now sits in exactly the same spot.
- Fixed a bug where, on shorter phone screens, the words "Back" and "Swap" on the live camera hung below their buttons. On those screens the icons above them are now a little smaller, so each word sits inside its button. Taller screens look the same as before.
- Fixed on iPhone: "Help and Support" now runs to the bottom edge of the screen. Before, a white band sat under the grey page, by the home bar.
- Fixed on Android: on tablets, the PIN pads now fit the screen. Before, with the tablet sideways, the 0 key on the PIN screen sat under "Logout", and on "Create a PIN to access the app" and the other steps for setting or changing your app PIN, the 0 key could run off the bottom of the screen. Now the keys, dots and "Logout" shrink together to fit, with "Logout" below the 0. Phones look the same as before.
- Fixed on Android: turning a tablet no longer restarts SPACE and asks for your PIN again. Before, every turn reloaded the app and showed the PIN screen, and if you were on "Lockdown" you came back to "Home".
- Fixed on Android: on the live camera, the phone's Back button and back gesture now take you to "Home", the same as the camera's own "Back" button. Before, they closed the camera but left you on a blank white page.
- Fixed on Android: on the live camera, when the three-button bar sits at the side of your screen, the bottom row with "Sound Alarm", the tabs and "Lockdown" now stays clear of it. Before, the bar covered the end of "Sound Alarm" or "Lockdown".
- Fixed on Android: if your fingerprint did not scan and your phone then asked for its own PIN, entering that PIN brought you back to SPACE with the same fingerprint request again. SPACE now shows its PIN screen instead, and you can tap the fingerprint button on it to try your finger again.
- Fixed on Android: after you watched the live camera and went back to "Home", the add-a-safe pop-up you open with "+" ("Device Setup") could look zoomed in: the pop-up was narrower, its pictures were cut off and its last line wrapped onto three lines. It now keeps its normal size.
- Fixed other bugs and made visual upgrades along the way.
App Version 2.2 - October 24, 2026
- Upgraded on Android: to meet Google Play's rules for photos and videos, on phones with Android 13 or newer the app no longer asks for access to all the photos and videos on your phone. Choosing a lock screen picture works as before, and the app gets only the photo you pick.
- Changed on Android: tapping the tab you are already on now scrolls back to the top only on "Home". Elsewhere it works as it used to: from a page opened inside a tab, such as a person's page in "Users", it takes you back to that tab's first page.
- Changed: outside your timed access hours, your own page no longer shows settings that change the safe itself. They show again as soon as your access returns.
- Changed: on "Home", a "Last 7 days" number that has not loaded yet, for example just after you sign in or when it cannot load, now shows a dash instead of 0, so it is never mistaken for a real count. After you switch safes, the numbers show a dash until the new safe's arrive. A real 0 still shows 0.
- Changed: outside your timed access hours, "Account Profile" now hides the safe's address, as it already did while you are suspended. Your own details can still be edited, and the address shows again when your access returns.
- Changed: a wrong PIN now says "Incorrect PIN entered. Try again." on the PIN screen that unlocks the app and before you add a user or give temporary access in "Users", the same words as when you change your PIN in "Security and Settings". The wrong PIN that signs you out, as set by "Logout after" in "Security and Settings", says "Incorrect PIN entered." without "Try again.". Before, the unlock screen said "Incorrect PIN".
- Changed: your safe's name in "Device Settings" now follows the same rules as our servers, so the app no longer lets you save a name they would refuse. The characters { } and - can no longer be typed, while / and \ now can. A name of only spaces now shows "Name must be between 5 and 30 characters long" instead of being sent, and on iPhone so does typing past 30 characters, as on Android, instead of the box just stopping.
- Changed: when your avatar cannot be saved, because there is no connection or our server has a problem, the red bar now says "No connection to the server. Please try again.", the same words as a rename of your safe with no connection. Before, it said "Your avatar was not saved:" and the reason, such as "there is no internet connection, or the server could not be reached." or the server's error.
- Changed: in the "Activity Log", when you filter only by people, in "Select User" or by opening "View All" from a person's page, and there is no activity, the list now says "No activity available for filtered data". "No activity for this filter" now shows only when you also filter by event type.
- Changed: a timed access person's page in "Users" no longer opens behind the yellow "Timed Access Active" card saying "User currently does not have access to the device.", which showed at any time of day and had to be closed with "Continue". Their page now opens straight away, and its timed access card shows whether they have access right now.
- Changed: "Payments and Subscriptions" is hidden from "Settings" until that feature is ready. Before, tapping it only showed "This feature is currently in development."
- Changed: the "Live Camera Notifications" switch is hidden from "Security and Settings" until that feature is ready. Before, turning it on only showed "This feature is currently in development."
- Changed on Android: your phone's notification settings for SPACE no longer list an empty category called "Your Channel Name". Nothing was ever sent through it. If your phone already had it, it is removed the next time SPACE starts. Your alerts still come through "SpaceSafe Notifications".
- Added: a small round blue button with an up arrow now appears at the bottom right of "Home", the "Activity Log", a person's page in "Users" and the "Notifications Log" once you scroll down the list. Tap it to glide back to the top. It pops up with a small bounce, or, if your phone is set to reduce motion, simply appears and takes you straight to the top.
- Added: a small vibration when you turn a notification switch on or off on the notifications step when you add a safe, including "Turn All On" and "Turn All Off", the same as on your page in "Users".
- Added: in "Device Settings", if you leave with a new safe name that has not been saved, for example after it failed to save, the app now asks "Save your changes?". Tap "Save" to send the name again, "Discard" to put your safe's name back, or the X to keep what you typed. You stay on the page either way, and your next back leaves it. This works like "EDIT INFO" in "Account Profile".
- Added: in "Help and Support", after you press and hold the support email and tap "Copy", a green "Copied" message now confirms it, as it does for the serial number in "Device Settings".
- Added: a message at the top of the screen now tells you the moment your access to the safe on screen ends or comes back, whatever screen you are on. When your timed access ends it says "Your timed access has ended. You no longer have access to the safe."; when you are suspended on that safe, "Your profile has been suspended on this safe. You no longer have access to the safe."; and when your access comes back, a green "Access restored" says "You can use this safe again."
- Added: on a person's page in "Users", the dates above the activity now say which day they are: "(Today)" and "(Yesterday)" in slightly lighter letters, and the day of the week for older dates, as "Home" names them, for example "October 17, 2026 (Saturday)". When a long date does not fit beside "View All", its month is shortened, for example "Sept. 30, 2026 (Wednesday)".
- Added: in "Device Settings", if you type a character a safe's name can't use, small red words under the "Name" box now say which ones: "A safe's name can't use: { } ( ) # % ^ < > * . + = _ | ~ -". They go away when you type an allowed character, delete one, or leave the box. Before, the character was simply not typed and nothing said why.
- Added: on a person's page in "Users", and on your own page, a timed access card now shows today's hours. Inside them it says "Access today" ("Your access today" on your own page) in green, with the time left, for example "7h left", and a bar from the start to the end time. Outside them it says "Access resumes" with the day and time, for example "Mon 9:00 AM", in orange, or "No access now" if no hours are set. Tap the card, the new "Timed access" button by the page title or the new clock beside the fingerprint to see the whole week's hours.
- Added: in "Users", the tile of someone with timed access now shows an orange clock before the fingerprint and phone icons. To make room, the icons on every tile sit a little closer together, a last login date that would reach the icons is shortened, for example "Sept. 29, 2026", and a timed access tile with no login yet says "Never accessed" instead of "Never accessed device".
- Added: with timed access, during your allowed hours "Home" now shows a card above "Activity Log" with how much time you have left today, such as "7h left", a bar that fills as the time passes, and when your access starts and ends. The time left updates every minute. Tap the card to see your schedule for the whole week.
- Improved: when your internet comes back, "Home" now refreshes once instead of several times in a row. If nothing new happened while you were offline, "Home" and the "Activity Log" keep the list you were looking at, including older entries you had scrolled to and the results of a filter, instead of starting again from the newest entries. Older activity that could not load is asked for again as soon as the internet is back.
- Improved: "View All" on a person's page in "Users" now opens the "Activity Log" the same way as on "Home": it slides up from the bottom and covers the tab bar. Before, it slid in from the side with the tab bar still showing. Going back still returns you to that person's page.
- Improved: when you change your phone number in your profile, the "Verify your phone number" title, above where you enter the code sent to your new number, is now centered on the screen. It used to sit a little to the right.
- Improved: while your access to a safe is paused, by timed access outside your hours or a suspension, the app now keeps other people's activity on the safe private. When your access returns, you see it all again.
- Improved: in the "Activity Log", when you open "FILTER" or "Date Selection", the dark background now fades in where it is, and only the sheet or pop-up moves. Before, the dark background slid along with them. When "Date Selection" closes, it now lifts all the way up before it disappears.
- Improved: the "Change date of birth?" pop-up in your profile now fades in where it is, like the app's other pop-ups in the middle of the screen. Before, it slid up from the bottom together with its dark background.
- Improved: in "Activity Log" > "Select User", tap anywhere on a person's line, including their picture and name, to tick or untick them. Before, only the small round box responded.
- Improved: if your access to a safe ends while its lock screen picture page in "Security and Settings" is open, for example when your timed access hours end or you are suspended, the app now takes you back to "Security and Settings". Before, the page stayed open.
- Improved: on a person's page in "Users", when their activity cannot refresh, for example with no internet, "Could not refresh. Showing the last saved activity." and "Try again" now show at the top of the activity, under "Activity Log of User". Before, this note sat at the very end of the list, below all the saved entries. On your own page, the note under "Notifications for this device:", such as "Could not refresh. Showing your last saved settings.", and its "Try again" are also a little larger now, the same size as the app's other notes.
- Improved: when you open a person's page in "Users", "User Suspended" and their phone and fingerprint icons now appear straight away, matching their card in the list, even without internet. Before, the page showed them only once it had loaded that person's details, so a suspended person first looked active and both icons stayed grey. This also applies to "My User" with timed access and to your own page opened with "Edit" in "Notifications Log".
- Improved: under "Verify your identity via" in your profile, the email icon and the word "Email" now line up with the WhatsApp icon and "WhatsApp" above them, and look the same wherever you open your profile from, on iPhone and Android alike. Before, they sat slightly out of line, by a different amount depending on where you opened your profile from and on your phone.
- Improved: the top of "Account Profile" now matches the "Activity Log", with the same smaller back arrow and the same bold title, on iPhone and Android. On Android the top bar is also slimmer, so the page below it starts higher.
- Improved: safe names now show in full, up to 30 characters, the longest a safe's name can be. This applies on "Home", in "Your devices", under "Selected Device:" in "Security and Settings", in the lists for choosing a safe in "Security and Settings" and "Account Profile", at the top of an activity's details and in guest details. When a long name does not fit its line, its letters get smaller instead of the name being cut off with "...". Before, names were cut after 15, 16 or 22 characters.
- Improved: at the end of the activity on "Home" and on a person's page in "Users", "You have reached end of activities" now has the same space around it on both pages, clear of the tabs at the bottom, on iPhone and Android alike.
- Improved: the list of your safes now looks and works the same in your profile as in "Security and Settings": the same darker background that fades in with the list, the same bolder "Selected Device:" and "Other Devices:" headings, the same width and the same green or red online dot. In both places, tapping anywhere outside the safe cards now closes the list.
- Improved: if you are suspended on a safe while its "Device Settings" is open, the screen now closes and takes you back to "Home", as it already did when your timed access ended. Its settings cannot be changed while your access is paused.
- Improved: when the "Notifications Log" cannot refresh, for example without internet, it now tells you. Your last saved notifications show with "Could not refresh. Showing the last saved notifications." and "Try again", at the top of the list and again at its end. If none were saved, it says "Could not load the notifications." with "Try again". It also refreshes by itself as soon as your internet comes back. Before, the saved notifications showed with nothing to say they might be out of date.
- Improved: in Airbnb and Single Entry modes, when your safe is offline, the red message now tells you what to do: "Safe offline" with "Check that your safe is online, then try again." Before, it said "Error" with "Device is Offline". You see it when you accept, deny or adjust a guest's check-in or checkout request, tap "Request Checkout" in "Guest Details", or remove a guest in Single Entry mode.
- Improved: the app keeps your account details more private. Every way of signing out now clears your safe and account details from the phone, as "Logout" in "Settings" does, including when the app signs you out after too many wrong PINs while adding a user, and after you change your email. And when the app opens signed out, it clears any account details an earlier sign-in left behind.
- Improved: "View All" on "Home" now opens the "Activity Log" with every entry "Home" has already loaded, shown straight away with no spinner and without downloading them again; older entries then load as you scroll. "View All" on a person's page in "Users" does the same with that person's entries. Before, the "Activity Log" opened with a spinner and only the newest 50 entries, and downloaded the older ones again as you scrolled.
- Improved: when the "Activity Log" has to load your entries as it opens, for example from the "View Your Activity" button under the timed access card, it now shows the walking astronaut with "Landing...", as "Home" does, until they arrive. Before, it showed a spinner, and from that button it could first say "No activity available for filtered data" for a moment.
- Improved: the app keeps the details of everyone on your safe private from guests. Owners and administrators still see everything.
- Improved: in "Users", the tile of someone with timed access now says "Timed Access" while they are inside their allowed hours, and "No Access" only while they are outside them. The words now sit right after their name. Before, the tile always said "No Access".
- Improved: with timed access, outside your allowed hours "Home" now shows a clearer card in place of the yellow "Timed Access Active" card. It says "Access resumes" with the day and time your access comes back, such as "Mon 9:00 AM", and explains "Your access follows a schedule set on the safe. It is paused until your next window." Tap the card to see your schedule for the whole week. Below it, a blue "View Your Activity" button, easier to see and tap than the old words, opens your own activity.
- Improved: when you rename a safe that shows as offline, the green bar now says "Saved! Your safe is currently offline. Once it reconnects, the name will be updated." Before, it said "Safe name updated successfully." as if the safe already had its new name.
- Improved: when your changes in "Account Profile" cannot be saved, one red bar now shows straight away and says why: "Could not connect with server, please try again later." when your phone is offline or our server is down, or "Your account details were not saved. Please try again." for any other problem, and always for a new date of birth you confirmed as you leave "EDIT INFO". Before, it said "Something went wrong, please try again", 3 seconds late when you tapped "SAVE CHANGES", and sometimes after a green bar for the part that did save.
- Improved: right after you sign in, the walking astronaut on "Home" now waits where your activity will appear, below the space for your safe's details, instead of in the middle of an empty screen.
- Improved: the app lock is more secure. With an app PIN set, the PIN screen now comes up before anything else when SPACE opens, and straight away when you come back after your "Require pin" time. Your "Logout after ... incorrect attempts" setting also protects your account more reliably, and in the rare case SPACE cannot read your saved app PIN, you are asked to sign in again.
- Improved on iPhone: when SPACE asks to use Face ID, the message now explains why: "SPACE uses Face ID to unlock the app instead of your PIN." Before, it said "This will be used to access the app."
- Improved on Android: stronger security for the part of SPACE that receives your alerts. Your alerts arrive just as before.
- Improved on Android: the app keeps your details more private. On Android 12 and newer, what SPACE saves on your phone is no longer copied to a new phone when you transfer your apps and data to it.
- Fixed a bug where, during a lockdown, the text-message button on the "Lockdown" screen could show an out-of-date number, such as "Text 911", instead of the emergency number saved for your safe, and address the message to that number. This could happen when your safe's details came in after you opened "Lockdown", for example the first time you opened it after your internet came back. The button now uses the number saved for your safe as soon as your safe's details arrive.
- Fixed on Android: the first time you allowed the camera while adding a safe by scanning its QR code, the camera view could stay dark until you left the page and came back. The camera now starts as soon as you allow it. If you allow the camera in your phone's settings instead, the scanner now opens as soon as you come back to the app.
- Fixed a bug where "Security and Settings" did not update when you switched safes under "Selected Device:" while your access to one of them was paused, for example by timed access outside your hours. It could stay limited after you switched to a safe you can use. It now updates at once, both ways.
- Fixed a bug where, after you switched safes, "Home" could show the activity and the "Last 7 days" numbers of the safe you had just left under the new safe's name. This lasted a few seconds, or longer when the new safe had no activity or could not be reached. "Home" now clears them at once and shows only the new safe's.
- Fixed a bug where, if you switched safes while the app was still refreshing the safe on screen, for example just as "Home" opened or your internet came back, the app could switch you back to the safe you had left.
- Fixed a bug where the "Notifications Log" could show the notifications of a safe you had looked at before: for a moment as it opened, or for as long as the newest notifications could not load, for example without internet. It now keeps a saved copy for each safe and shows only the one for the safe on screen.
- Fixed a bug where changing "Device's tamper sensitivity level" (1, 2 or 3) on your page in "Users" with no internet left the new number selected under an "Error" message, while your safe kept its old level. Now, if the change does not save, the number goes back to your safe's level, with one red message: "Something went wrong, try again after some time".
- Fixed a bug where a light change in the "Change light color to:" pop-up in "Device Settings" stayed on screen when it had not saved, and with no internet no message showed at all. Now, if a change to "Default", "Always off", "Always on" or the brightness does not save, the pop-up goes back to your last saved setting and shows a red "Something went wrong, please try again".
- Fixed a bug where changing the temperature or humidity limits in "Device Settings" showed a green message such as "Low temperature set" even when the change had not saved, for example with no internet. Now the green message shows only once the new limit is saved. If it does not save, the dots go back to your saved limits and a red message says "Unable to set the temperature limit. Please try again later" (or the same for humidity).
- Fixed a bug where a new safe name in "Device Settings" that could not be saved could show no message at all, or even the green "Safe name updated successfully.", so it could look saved. Now a red bar tells you: "No connection to the server. Please try again." when your phone is offline, "Could not connect with server, please try again later." when our server is down, and "Your safe's name was not saved. Please try again." for most other problems. Your typed name stays in the box so you can try again.
- Fixed: we thought we had fixed this before, but we found it still was not right: the "Allow non-administrators to grant one-time guest access." box in "Security and Settings" stayed changed when the change had not saved, under a red "Something went wrong, please try again" message. It now goes back to how it was.
- Fixed a bug where, on the notifications step when you add a safe, a notification switch, "Turn All On" or "Turn All Off", or tamper sensitivity 1, 2 or 3 stayed as you tapped it when the change had not saved, for example with no internet. Now it goes back to how it was.
- Fixed a bug where "Home" could say "No activity logged yet." for a safe that has activity, for example when its activity could not load or had not arrived yet, or kept showing the list of the safe you had left. Now the walking astronaut shows while your activity loads. If it cannot load, or nothing arrives within 8 seconds, "Home" says "Could not load the activity." with "Try again". "No activity logged yet." shows only when your safe really has no activity yet.
- Fixed: in a guest's activity details, "Conected from:" and "Conected since:" are now spelled "Connected from:" and "Connected since:", and "Guest name:" and "Guest phone:" now read "Guest Name:" and "Guest Phone:", as on the guest details tab.
- Fixed a bug where "Your devices" on "Home" opened empty with no internet, with no safes and no message, only a small white circle. Now it keeps showing your saved safes with "Could not refresh. Showing your last saved devices." and "Try again", or says "Could not load your devices. Try again later." with "Try again" if none are saved.
- Fixed a bug where a person's page in "Users" said "Loading older activity..." under the walking astronaut before any of their activity had appeared. While their activity first loads, the page now shows the walking astronaut with "Landing...", as "Home" does, and "Loading older activity..." only appears below entries already on screen.
- Fixed a bug where the "Activity Log" said there was no activity, or showed a red "Something went wrong, try again after some time" message, when it could not load, for example without internet. It now says "Could not load the activity." with "Try again", and tries again by itself as soon as your internet comes back. When it shows your last saved activity instead, for example from "View All" after "Home" could not refresh, "Could not refresh. Showing the last saved activity." with "Try again" shows above and below your entries.
- Fixed a bug where, on a person's page in "Users", each day's date started a little to the right of the times listed under it. The date now lines up with the times.
- Fixed a bug where, if the app stayed open past midnight, "Home" and the "Activity Log" kept calling the previous day's activity "Today", and the day before it "Yesterday", until the app was restarted. The day names now change after midnight, at the latest when you come back to the app, and on a person's page in "Users" too.
- Fixed a bug where "View Your Activity" on the timed access card on "Home" did not show all your activity: after your newest few entries, the list either stopped with "You have reached end of activities" or jumped ahead, so your 11th to 50th entries never showed. It now loads your activity 50 entries at a time, in order.
- Fixed a bug where "View All" on a person's page in "Users" could open the "Activity Log" with "You have reached end of activities" under their first 50 entries while they had more, for example just after you switched safes.
- Fixed a bug where, after the app lock signed you out, with its "Logout" button or after too many wrong PINs, signing in again could bring back the "This device has been removed from your account" screen. The app lock's sign-out now clears everything that "Logout" in "Settings" clears.
- Fixed a bug in Airbnb mode where tapping "Deny" on a guest's check-in request while your safe showed as offline left the "Deny" button spinning, and the app could crash a few seconds later.
- Fixed a bug in Airbnb mode where, after you changed the checkout date a guest asked for and tapped "Accept" while your safe was offline or the request failed, the app brought back the "Confirm new guest check-in" pop-up instead of the guest's checkout request. The checkout request now comes back, so you can try again.
- Fixed on Android: with no internet, at the end of the "Home" activity list, "Could not load older activity." with its "Try again", or the walking astronaut with "Loading older activity...", could sit partly behind the tab bar, so "Try again" could not be tapped without dragging the list again. They now show in full above the tab bar.
- Fixed a bug where, on a person's page in "Users", scrolling down for older activity could show some entries twice if new activity happened in the meantime. Each entry now shows once, as on "Home" and in "Activity Log".
- Fixed a bug in Airbnb mode where, when a change to a guest's checkout date was turned down, the app stopped partway through updating the "Guest Details" tab, so the checkout button could be left out of date.
- Fixed a bug in "Activity Log" where closing "FILTER" with "Cancel" or a tap outside it forgot the event filter you had applied. The next time you picked someone in "Select User", changed the dates or scrolled to older entries, every kind of event came back, while "FILTER" still showed your choice. Now closing "FILTER" without "Apply" leaves your filter exactly as it was. On Android, closing it with Back no longer brings in choices you ticked but did not apply.
- Fixed a bug in "Home" and "Activity Log" where tapping an entry about something an owner or administrator did to a guest, such as turning down a check-in, opened the details of that owner or administrator, with no stay to show, instead of the guest. These entries now open nothing. Owners now open a guest's stay details only from entries that show "Guest -" before the guest's name, so a few guest entries that show only the guest's name open nothing too.
- Fixed a bug where, while a bar such as "Your device is Offline." or "No internet detected" showed at the top of the screen, the bottom of some screens was pushed down: the serial number at the end of "Device Settings" ended up against the bottom edge, the "Setup PIN" button on "App Security" slid down onto the bottom edge, and in the avatar editor the last row of choices could not be scrolled into view, with the "*Skip will select a random avatar" note sitting on the buttons at the bottom. They now keep their place. The avatar list you open with "CHANGE AVATAR" also scrolls now whenever it is taller than the screen, bar or no bar, so "CHANGE ALL" can always be brought into view.
- Fixed a bug where, in "Account Profile", a first or last name made only of spaces counted as filled in: it was sent when you tapped "SAVE CHANGES", and the save then failed. Now it counts as empty: "First Name is required" or "Last Name is required" shows under the box, and "SAVE CHANGES" stays grey. On "Create Account", a first name made only of spaces now shows "First Name is required" too, where no message showed before.
- Fixed: we thought we had fixed this before, but we found it still was not right: the walking astronaut and "Landing..." flashed above "Activity Log" on "Home" each time you came back to it, for example after unlocking the app or switching tabs, and your activity then jumped up the screen. When your activity is already on the phone, it now shows straight away, with no flash and no jump.
- Fixed a bug where your safe's sound kept playing after you left the app while watching its live camera on Android. Now, on both iPhone and Android, talking through your safe ends and your safe's sound goes silent the moment you leave the app, even if the camera was still connecting.
- Fixed on Android: your safe's live camera kept running for as long as you were away from the app. It now ends 30 seconds after you leave. Come back sooner and it carries on where it was, without reconnecting, with the sound as you left it.
- Fixed other bugs, plus small visual upgrades.
App Version 2.1.0 - October 18, 2026
- Changed on Android: the camera's microphone message now says "No thanks" instead of "Back", so the button makes clear that it skips the message and keeps you on the camera.
- Changed: with timed access, while you have no access to the safe, the "Users" tab and your page title now say "My User" to make clear that the tab shows only your own page.
- Changed on Android: to keep the activity rows steady at the ends of a list, the lists on "Home", in "Activity Log" and on a person's page in "Users" no longer stretch when you pull past their top or bottom.
- Added on Android: to return to the top without scrolling back through the page, tap the tab you are already on. This works on "Home", "Users", a person's page, your profile and "Settings", and in "Activity Log" when opened from a person's page.
- Added: to show who the "Activity Log" is filtered to, "Select User" now shows the selected person's picture and name, or a count such as "2 users selected", in bold light blue. Tap its x to clear the people filter while keeping your dates and event choices. The arrow still opens the list.

- Improved: when the PIN you type to confirm a new PIN does not match, the "Incorrect pin, please try again" message now shows a white X inside a red circle, with the same layout as "Authenticated!". Before, it showed a thin red X in a taller box.

- Fixed a bug where an empty filter result in "Activity Log" hid the controls needed to change or clear the filter. The date, person and event controls now stay visible. The list names the empty date or says "No activity for this filter".
- Fixed a bug where, in "Users", the "Please wait 24 hours" message could fail to appear when you had already sent an invitation that day, either after your PIN or when you tapped "Add New User" while it showed "Unavailable for:". It now appears straight away.
- Fixed a bug where the blue "Temporary access granted" bar could be missing after you switched safes or reopened the app, if the code had been sent from another phone. It now appears once that safe's guest list loads, while the unused code is under 5 minutes old.
- Fixed: "Users" now keeps each safe's list with the safe it belongs to when you switch safes, even if another safe's list finishes loading later.
- Fixed a bug where, when you opened a safe from "Your devices", it could briefly show old information, such as saying it was online after it had gone offline. It now uses the current information from the list.

App Version 2.0.12 - October 6, 2026
- Added: a small vibration gives you feedback when you turn notification switches on or off on your page in "Users", including "Turn All On" and "Turn All Off", and for "Temperature", "Humidity" and "Lockdown on Tamper" in "Device Settings". You also feel it when changing tamper sensitivity to 1, 2 or 3 in "Device Settings", on your page in "Users" or on the notifications step when adding a safe.
- Added: when setting up or changing your app PIN, if the new PIN did not match its confirmation, "Incorrect pin, please try again" appeared and you had to wait a second for it to disappear. Tapping it, even its red X, did nothing. Now, if you tap the message, it will instantly take you back to the "Create a PIN to access the app" screen. On iPhone, the message also appears at once instead of sliding up.
- Added: a character count on the "Improvements and Feedback" page helps you see when your message reaches the 20 characters needed to send. The number sits inside the message box on the right, just below where you type. It is grey before you start, red from 1 to 19 characters, and blue from 20. If you tap the grey "Send" button with a message that is too short, the number flashes bold with the box.
- Added: in the "Activity Log", while you filter by dates, a small x now sits to the right of the dates beside the calendar. Tap it to clear the dates. The dates also show in bold light blue while the filter is on, so you can tell the log is filtered.
- Improved on iPhone: the top card in "Security and Settings" now has a light shadow, like on Android.
- Improved on iPhone: the titles at the top of "Settings", "Users", "Security and Settings", "Notifications Log", "Help and Support", and "Improvements and Feedback" now sit at the same height as on the app's other screens. - Improved: to hide your picture and details clearing during logout, a white cover now replaces "Settings" behind the "Logout?" message as soon as you tap "OK", while the app moves to the login screen. Previously, "Settings" stayed visible briefly and you could see those details disappear.
- Improved on iPhone: when you change your phone number in your profile, the number no longer sits tight against the country code, such as "+1". The space between them is now the same as when you add a user or give temporary access.
- Improved: in "Activity Log", the week strip at the top now slides away as you scroll down the list and slides back as soon as you scroll up a little, showing the week you are looking at. Before, once it had folded away, it came back only when you scrolled back near the top.
- Improved on iPhone: on the lock screen picture page, opened from "Upload image for safe lock screen" in "Security and Settings", when the safe's lock screen picture is not turned on, the page now runs to the bottom edge of the screen. Before, a white band sat under "DELETE IMAGE".
- Improved: when a message in a colored bar at the top runs onto a second line, its lines now have the same spacing as the app's standard "Error" and "Success" messages. This applies when you add a user or give temporary access, save your safe's address while adding a safe, or change your safe's lights. Before, the lines in most of these bars sat closer together.
- Improved: in "Users", when an invite to add a user or give temporary access is turned down, the red message in the sheet now says why, for example "Only 1 new user can be created every 24 hours. Try again once the 24 hour period ends.", "Only an administrator of this safe can send invites." or "This safe already has 4 users, which is the limit allowed in Normal mode." Before, it said "Failed to send invite. Please try again." for almost every reason, and "Maximum of 4 Profiles Can Be Created In Normal Mode" for a fifth user.
- Improved: with timed access, while you have no access to the safe, the note on your page saying you will not receive notifications is now centered.
- Improved: when you add a user or give temporary access, the "First Name" and "Last Name" hints now use the same grey as the phone number hint. Before, the names were black.
- Improved: in the "Notifications Log", the first date now has the same space above it as the dates farther down the list. Before, it sat closer to the top.
- Improved: in the "Activity Log", the filter button is easier to tap. Its touch area now also covers the "FILTER" label above it.

- Fixed a bug where the blue "Temporary access granted" bar at the top of the app did not go away by itself for the other people on the safe, everyone except the person who gave the access. It stayed even after the app was closed and opened again. It now goes away for them too, 5 minutes after it appeared.
- Fixed a bug where the grey area below the white card on a person's page in "Users" appeared to have a square top right corner on iPhone. The rounded corner now shows, as on Android.
- Fixed a bug where the top of "Notifications Log" in "Settings" changed shape as the list loaded, jumping from a flat edge with a grey band and white area to its usual rounded corner over the grey list. The rounded corner now appears as soon as you open the log, with only the list replaced by a loading spinner.
- Fixed a bug where, after the app asked for your PIN again, such as after you closed and reopened it, the "Home" tab could return to the "Activity Log", an activity's details or "Account Profile" with nothing behind it. Tapping "Home" did nothing, and Android's Back button could take you out of the app. The "Home" tab now opens on "Home", and the "Users" tab opens on the "Users" list instead of "Account Profile".
- Fixed a bug where, on iPhone, the "Require pin" and "Logout after" wheels in "Security and Settings" could open on 1 after you set up or changed your PIN, instead of your saved number, until you restarted the app. They now open on your number.
- Fixed a bug where applying a filter or picking dates in "Activity Log" replaced everything below the title with a white page and loading spinner. "Select User", "FILTER", the week strip and your existing list now stay visible, with the spinner over the list. The new list starts at the top.
- Fixed a bug where notification switches on your page in "Users" could show changes that had not saved. After each change, the app now checks our server and shows the saved setting when it can read it. If a save fails and the check cannot load either, the switch returns to its previous position. One red message says "Something went wrong, try again after some time" for an unsaved change, including after "Turn All On" or "Turn All Off".
- Fixed a bug where "Device Settings" could show a green "... notifications have been turned on" message even when a change had not saved. After you change "Temperature", "Humidity" or "Lockdown on Tamper", or select tamper sensitivity 1, 2 or 3, the app now checks our server and shows the saved setting when it can read it. If a save fails and the check cannot load either, the switch or number returns to its previous setting. An unsaved change shows a red message, and the green message is gone.
- Fixed: in "Device Settings", turning "Lockdown on Tamper" on or off now saves your choice.
- Fixed a bug where phone numbers could shrink unnecessarily or lose their first digits when you added a user or gave temporary access. With your phone's text size below standard, the number now keeps its normal size. Above standard, it grows only until your country's longest number fills the box.
- Fixed a bug where, on Android, pressing Back on "Incorrect pin, please try again" while setting up or changing your app PIN closed the message but opened "Create a PIN to access the app" again a second later. Back now closes the message and keeps you where you were.
- Fixed a bug where a temporary guest's 5-minute countdown in "Users" updated the card about 60 times a second, keeping your phone busy. It now updates once a second.
- Fixed a bug where a longer message in the bar shown after adding a user or giving temporary access pushed its icon and title toward the iPhone's clock. Bars such as "Sent", "Success" and "Error" now keep the icon and title in the same place and grow downward to fit the message.
- Fixed a bug where your page in "Users" went white with only a spinner while loading during timed access with your profile locked. The page now stays visible with the walking astronaut, and your details fill in as they arrive.
- Fixed a bug where a two-line address-saving error while adding a safe pushed the red bar's "Error" title higher up the screen. The bar now grows downward to fit the message while its title stays in place.
- Fixed a bug where timed access made "Home" and other screens redraw every second while that safe was open, keeping your phone busy and potentially slowing the app's response. They no longer redraw when the access value stays the same.
- Fixed: tamper sensitivity choices (1, 2 or 3) now leave your tamper settings on. This applies to "Tamper" notifications on your page in "Users" and the notifications step when you add a safe, and to "Lockdown on Tamper" in "Device Settings". Use the switches to turn these settings on and off.

App Version 2.0.11 - September 24, 2026
- Changed on Android 14 and older: on phones without a camera cutout, screens are now laid out to fit exactly between the clock and the bottom bar, so many sizes and spaces are about 3% smaller than in 1.3.8, which counted the clock bar as part of the screen.
- Changed on iPhone: to look the same as on Android, the app's lettering now follows Android's. Some text differs slightly from 1.3.8: "Opened", "Rejected" and "Users" under "Last 7 days" on "Home" are a little less bold, and "Add Device" uses the iPhone's own bold lettering.
- Added: to show the dates you picked in "Activity Log", filtering by dates now replaces the month beside the calendar icon with your chosen range, such as "Oct 6 - Oct 8, 2026", or "Oct 6, 2026" for one day.
- Improved on iPhone: the app now registers your iPhone for alerts when you sign in, as it already did on Android, so a new iPhone is set up for alerts from its first sign-in.
- Improved: on a person's "Timed Access Active" page in "Users", their name now sits in the middle under their picture instead of off to the right.
- Improved: the app lock is more dependable. When you come back to SPACE after the time you picked for "Require pin ... minutes after exiting", it now asks for your PIN, or for Face ID or your fingerprint if you turned that on.

Spaces before or after what you type, double spaces and accents no longer stop a match, and if nothing matches, a name or country one letter off still shows once you have typed 4 letters or more: "Captian" finds Captain and "Germny" finds Germany.
- Improved: the "Account Profile" title in the avatar editor is now centered at the top of the screen instead of sitting a little to the right.

- Improved: for privacy, logging out now also clears the copies of people's pictures, such as avatars, saved on your phone. They load again the next time you sign in.
- Improved: to show which day you are reading in "Activity Log", the week strip now follows the list, including after filtering. It shows that day's week with the day marked, and the month beside the calendar icon follows it unless you have filtered by dates. Previously, it always showed this week with today marked.
- Fixed a bug where, on Android, SPACE sent another "Welcome" notification each time it started while you were already signed in. It still sends "Welcome" when you sign in; ordinary restarts no longer repeat it.
- Fixed a bug where the "Last Lockdown" time on the "Lockdown" screen showed "Pm" instead of "PM". It now uses capital "AM" and "PM", for example "Today 6:42 PM".
- Fixed a bug where the "Lockdown" screen could show lockdown as off while your safe was in lockdown, for example after someone turned it on from another phone. The screen now checks your safe each time you open it.
- Fixed a bug where changing lockdown from another phone while you had "Lockdown" open could make your next swipe do nothing and leave the slider on the wrong side. Each swipe now follows what the slider showed when you started it. A swipe that does nothing returns the slider to its correct position.
- Fixed a bug where the app changed the capital letters in people's names, showing "McDonald" as "Mcdonald" and "john" as "John". Names now show exactly as typed in the activity lists on "Home" and in "Activity Log", in the "Activity Log" "Select User" list, and on a person's page in "Users".
- Fixed a bug where phone numbers from countries such as Germany and Finland showed stray "|" marks or lost digits in your profile, on screens showing where a code was sent, in recent people when adding a user, at guest check-in, and on a person's page in "Users" if they did not have the app. The numbers now show in full.
- Fixed a bug where, on iPhone, dragging a temperature or humidity gauge dot in "Device Settings" also scrolled the page. The page could take over the drag before your new setting was saved. It now stays still while you drag a dot.
- Fixed a bug where leaving the legend in the "Activity Log" > "Filter" could close the whole filter instead of returning to its choices. On shorter screens, where the legend replaces the choices, the X at the top right, a tap on the dark area, "Cancel", or Android's Back button now takes you back to the choices. There, the legend also fits all 7 lines without wide gaps between the words. On taller screens, Android's Back button now closes just the legend too.
- Fixed a bug where, on iPhone, Face ID sometimes did not appear automatically or try again when SPACE asked for your PIN as you returned to the app. When Face ID is enabled, it now appears once each time SPACE asks for your PIN when you return.
- Fixed a bug where "Send" on "Improvements and Feedback" stayed grey until your message had 21 characters, even though the page said 20. "Send" now works at 20 characters.
- Fixed a bug where the "Activity Log" date filter could show entries before your start date, such as September entries for October 1 to October 8, miss late-evening entries from a picked day or include entries from the evening before. It now follows the days you picked on your phone.
- Fixed a bug where changing only the start or end date in the "Activity Log" date filter left the list on the old dates after you tapped "OK". Either change now updates the list.
- Fixed a bug where "View All" on a person's page in "Users" opened everyone's activity instead of that person's. It now opens "Activity Log" filtered to that person, ticked in "Select User", where you can still change who you see. This also applies to your own page opened with "Edit" in "Notifications Log".
- Fixed a bug where, on iPhone, the time and battery bar could stay hidden after you watched the live camera sideways, until you closed SPACE. It now comes back when you leave the camera.
- Fixed on Android 14 and older: a bug where, in "Users", the "X" that replaces the "+" while you add someone sat above the "+" instead of in the same position.
- Fixed on Android 14 and older: a bug where the "Setup PIN" button on "App Security" during setup sat higher than it should. Room kept for the bottom bar on newer Android versions had lifted it.

- Fixed on Android 14 and older: a bug where an empty band showed below the clock on "Home" and most screens, including "Users", "Settings" and "Device Settings", and made the top alert bar, such as "Your device is Offline.", taller. The band and the extra height are gone, so their tops sit right below the clock again, as in 1.3.8.
- Fixed on Android 10 and older, and on Android 11 to 14 with the three-button bar: a bug where the live camera's tab row was a little shorter than in 1.3.8. It is back at its 1.3.8 height.
- Fixed a bug where music or a podcast playing on your phone stopped when SPACE's welcome screen opened or the walking astronaut appeared while something loaded on Android. The app's moving pictures are silent and now leave your music playing.
- Fixed a bug where the top of "Home" and other screens stayed under the clock after you opened a closed SPACE app by tapping one of its alerts, such as a lockdown alert, on Android 15 and newer. The screens previously stayed there until you closed the app again.
- Fixed a bug where the "Your devices" list opened well below its button at the top of "Home" on iPhone. Its dark background also left the clock area undimmed, and each safe's picture appeared as a flat black bar.
- Fixed a bug where the screen turned grey and stopped responding after you entered your PIN to give temporary access in "Users" on iPhone, forcing you to close the app. The sheet for typing the person's number now appears.
- Fixed a bug where your avatar's hair, face and shoulders appeared out of place on the "Select Avatar Background" page of the avatar editor on iPhone.
- Fixed a bug where grey and shaded panels stopped short of their edges on iPhone, leaving white strips and broken rounded corners. Their contents were squeezed and sometimes cut off on the right, including "Home"'s "Activity Log", "Settings", "Help and Support", "Improvements and Feedback", a person's page in "Users", and the "Confirm identity to proceed" PIN pad when adding a user.
- Fixed a bug where many words and the numbers on PIN pads appeared in much heavier, extra-bold lettering than the app's design on iPhone.
- Fixed a bug where the brightness slider's handle could not be dragged once the light was "off" in the lights pop-up in "Device Settings" on iPhone. Touching the handle counted as tapping "off", sent "off" to the safe again and showed a "Success" message.
- Fixed a bug where the back arrow at the top of the country list was missing on iPhone.
- Fixed a bug where the red dot that shows when the camera is live lost its solid red center on iPhone, leaving only a faint pink ring.

App Version 2.0.10 - September 11, 2026
- Changed: the "Guest Access" messages in "Security and Settings" now make clear that this changes who may invite guests, instead of saying a guest has been let in or removed. Ticking it says "Non-administrators can now invite guests." Unticking it says "Non-administrators can no longer invite guests." These replace "Added Guest Access!" and "Removed Guest Access!".
- Added: tapping the grey "SAVE CHANGES" button in your profile when you have changed nothing now shows "No changes to save.", so you know why there is nothing to save. Previously, the tap did nothing.
- Improved: to skip the wait after you set or change your app PIN, you can now tap anywhere, including on the blue "Welcome Back" or "PIN Changed!" box, to close it. Previously, only a tap around the box closed it early.
- Improved: to keep the safe name you type in "Device Settings", the keyboard no longer autocorrects it, so "Lobe" is not changed to "Love". Spelling checks remain enabled on iPhone.
- Improved: the sheet for entering a temporary guest's number in "Users" now slides down when it closes, after you send or when you leave it. Before, it disappeared or faded out instead of sliding down.
- Fixed a bug where error messages while changing your phone number or email in your profile appeared dimmed behind the pop-up's dark background and were hard to see. Messages such as "Something went wrong, please try again" now appear on top.
- Fixed a bug where an old avatar could return on "Home", in "Settings" and in your profile a day after you saved a new one. The same could happen with someone else's picture a day after they changed it. The newest picture now shows.
- Fixed a bug where losing and regaining internet while editing your avatar from "Home" replaced your new choices with your saved avatar. Your choices now stay until you save or discard them.
- Fixed a bug where tapping "Done!" in the avatar editor without changing anything saved the default avatar if you had never saved one before. "Done!" now saves only when something changed; otherwise, it takes you back to the list.
- Fixed a bug where, after SPACE asked for your PIN, a "Home" or "Users" tab left in the avatar editor reopened on the editor alone. On Android, the phone's Back button could then go the wrong way and take you out of SPACE. The tab now opens on "Home" or "Users", as "Settings" already did. Unsaved avatar changes are not kept.
- Fixed a bug where a person's page in "Users" could show the activity of the last person you opened if the new person had no activity, such as a newly invited temporary guest. Their page now shows no activity for them.
- Fixed a bug where "South Korea" and "North Korea" had each other's names in the country list. Picking "South Korea" gave you North Korea's flag, +850 code and 8-digit number box. Each name now belongs to the right country.
- Fixed a bug where tapping the grey "Select notifications" button on "Where is this device located?" while adding a safe did nothing when you had unfinished boxes. It now flashes the boxes you still need to fill blue, such as "City" or "Zip".
- Fixed a bug where the "+" button in "Users" could stay an "X" after the pop-up closed when you added someone or gave temporary access. It now turns back into a "+" whenever the pop-up closes.
- Fixed a bug where a temporary guest's card in "Users" kept its timer and bar running after the code had been used, as if it could still be used. The card now shows "Accessed:" with the date and time, stops its 5-minute timer and fills its bar, as when access runs out.
- Fixed a bug where notification settings on your own page in "Users" showed every switch as off if they could not load, for example without internet. You now see your last saved settings for that safe with "Could not refresh. Showing your last saved settings." and "Try again" underneath. If none were saved, you see "Could not load your alert settings." and "Try again".
- Fixed a bug where a person's page in "Users" could show another person's activity after a load failed, or give no explanation. If activity cannot load, for example without internet, it now shows only that person's last saved activity with "Could not refresh. Showing the last saved activity." and "Try again". If nothing was saved for that person, it shows "Could not load the activity." with "Try again".
- Fixed: whenever you are signed out, the app now erases saved copies of your notification settings and people's activity, as "Logout" already did.
- Fixed a bug where the white picture card on a person's page in "Users" slid under the fixed title and back arrow, leaving a curved notch beneath the title as you scrolled. The "Users" title and back arrow now scroll up with the card. On a suspended person's page, the title stays fixed as before.
- Fixed a bug where adding a user or giving temporary access in "Users" showed a green "Success" message before the safe had confirmed the invitation. When the invitation is still in progress, the app now shows a blue "Sent" bar: "Sent to the safe. If the guest doesn't get a code within a minute, check the safe is online and try again." This replaces "Temporary access granted and an OTP has been sent." or "New user invitation sent." for those in-progress invitations.
- Fixed a bug where "Edit" in "Settings" > "Notifications Log" opened your page as "Temporary Access User" with "Never accessed device" while details loaded, and could stay that way after internet returned. When your details are already in "Users", your name, picture, role and last login now appear straight away. Failed loads try again automatically when internet returns.
- Fixed a bug where opening SPACE with your iPhone held sideways could briefly start it sideways, stretching the PIN screen and pushing its "0" key off-screen. The PIN screen now opens upright.
- Fixed a bug where a person's page in "Users" stayed unchanged after your phone regained internet if their details or activity, or your own notification settings, had failed to load offline. These now retry by themselves when the "No internet detected" bar goes away, instead of needing you to reopen the page.
- Fixed a bug where older activity on a person's page in "Users" stopped loading after a failed request, for example without internet, and the list said "You have reached end of activities". It now shows "Could not load older activity." with "Try again" underneath, and tries again automatically when internet returns.
- Fixed a bug where, on a person's page in "Users", scrolling down for older activity could mix in the activity of the person whose page you had just left, if theirs was still loading when you left.
- Fixed a bug where the first tap on the grey "SAVE CHANGES" button in "Account Profile" opened the keyboard instead of only flashing the empty box to fix. This happened after you used "CANCEL" or "Discard", or saved changes, then reopened "Edit Info" with the same box empty.

- Changed: in "Security and Settings", when you change your PIN and enter your current PIN incorrectly, the message now gives the shorter instruction "Incorrect PIN entered. Try again." It replaces "Current PIN is incorrect. Please enter your correct PIN."
- Added: in the avatar editor, using your phone's "Back" button or swiping from the screen edge now also asks "Save changes to your avatar?" when you have changed something. Before, these exits threw your changes away without asking.
- Added: after being authenticated when changing your app PIN, "Authenticated!" appeared and you had to wait 3 seconds for it to disappear. Now, if you tap "Authenticated!", it will instantly take you to the "Create a PIN to access the app" screen.
- Improved: in "Users", temporary guests' cards now sit as close together as everyone else's. Before, each guest card had a large gap under it.
- Improved: a curved shape in the page's background color now sits behind the "+" button in "Users", so cards slide underneath instead of showing behind the button as you scroll. At the end of the list, the last card stops just above the shape.

- Improved: on some number pads, the back arrow now sits right under the 9, as on the others: on "Confirm identity to proceed" when you add a user or give temporary access, and on "Verify your phone number" when you change your phone number in your profile. Before, it sat a little to the left of the 9. On Android, the same goes for "Verify your identity" when you change your phone number or email, where it sat well to the left.
- Improved: the back arrow on "Create a PIN to access the app" now sits level with the 0 beside it, as on the other PIN pads, including when you change your app PIN in "Security and Settings". It previously sat a little higher.
- Improved on Android: to line your safe's name up with "Name" in "Device Settings", the name and its dotted line have been moved slightly down together, with the dots still directly below the name. The name previously sat a little higher.
- Fixed a bug where your picture could be missing from the "Invited by" or "Guest of" row when adding a user or giving temporary access. The pictures in that row now load correctly again, as they do elsewhere in the app.
- Fixed a bug where, in rare cases, your own picture could stop showing about a week after you changed it, including on "Home" and in "Settings".
- Fixed a bug where an Airbnb safe showed your picture instead of its owner's in "Your devices" on "Home" and in the safe lists in your profile and "Security and Settings". Single Entry safes could do the same in your profile and "Security and Settings". Each now shows its owner's picture.
- Fixed a bug on Android where, after adding a user or giving temporary access, the result bar could have its icon and title cut off above the screen, with the message under the clock. The green "Success", blue "Sent", and red "Error" bars now show in full.
- Fixed a bug where a new guest could be missing from "Users" until the list reloaded. After adding a user or giving temporary access, the people list and the "+" menu's "Unavailable for" time now refresh right away.
- Fixed a bug where adding a user or giving temporary access while the safe was offline said the invite was sent, but it never arrived. In "Users", the send arrow now stays grey while the safe is offline. Tapping it shows "Your safe must be online to use this feature" and keeps the sheet open with what you typed.
- Fixed a bug where quickly tapping the send arrow twice when adding a user or giving temporary access could send two invitations. The arrow now turns grey after the first tap while the invitation is being sent.
- Fixed a bug where a temporary guest's card in "Users" could say "Expired on", often "Expired on: Invalid date at Invalid date", while the code's 5 minutes were still running, then show a stuck "Time Left" after they ended. An unused code now counts down after "Time Left", for example "Time Left 2:01", then shows "Expired on" with the date and time it expired, as it used to.
- Fixed a bug where "Last Login" could show the wrong day for some hours each day because it used world time instead of your time zone. In "Users" and on a person's page, "Today" and "Yesterday" now follow your phone's clock.
- Fixed a bug where you could save your profile with "Last Name" empty. It now shows "Last Name is required", and "SAVE CHANGES" stays grey until you fill it in.
- Fixed a bug where opening "Change Avatar" from your profile could leave the bottom tab bar shorter than usual on the avatar screens and back in your profile, until you moved to another tab.
- Fixed a bug on Android where, in the "Activity Log" while your phone had no internet, the "Date Selection" pop-up covered the "No internet detected" bar and the "Select User" list could open too high, away from its button. Both now open below the bar in the right place.
- Fixed a bug where, on Android, the lights pop-up in "Device Settings" opened too low, away from the "Color" card, in the first seconds after your phone lost internet and before the "No internet detected" bar appeared.
- Fixed a bug where, on Android, pressing Back on "Authenticated!" while changing your app PIN opened "Create a PIN to access the app". Back now closes the message and keeps you on "Security and Settings".
- Fixed a bug where a failed avatar save showed "Something went wrong, please try again", or no message at all. The app now tells you why it could not save your avatar, for example "Your avatar was not saved: there is no internet connection, or the server could not be reached."
- Fixed a bug where the dark background of "Select User" in "Activity Log", the lights pop-up in "Device Settings", or "Setup Failed!" and "Scan Error" while adding a safe dimmed the "No internet detected" bar. While your phone is offline, the bar now stays bright above these pop-ups. It also stays bright above the "Filter" background in "Activity Log".
- Fixed a bug where changing your phone number in "Account Profile" stopped numbers from Finland, Saint Barthélemy and Saint Martin at 7 digits, using the limit for another place with the same dialing code. The keypad now uses the country you picked.
- Fixed a bug where numbers from Guernsey and Christmas Island could not be entered correctly when signing in, adding a user or changing your phone number. Guernsey numbers now take all 10 digits in UK-style groups. Christmas Island numbers take 9 digits, like Australian numbers.
- Fixed a bug where a temporary guest's card in "Users" did not show that they had used their code until the list loaded again. The list now refreshes when your safe opens or closes, updating the card without a manual refresh.
- Fixed a bug where the blue "Temporary access granted" bar stayed up for about 11 minutes after you gave access, past the guest's 5-minute limit. It now goes away at 5 minutes, or when your guest uses their code if you have "Users" open.
- Fixed a bug where, on Android, hidden loading pictures kept your phone busy while the app was open and could use extra battery. The walking astronaut on "Home" kept playing after it faded away, and other animations, such as the spinning safe when you add a safe, kept playing after they closed.
- Fixed a bug where the message for a phone number rejected by the app was hidden behind the "Add New User" or "Allow Temporary Access" sheet. It now appears in the sheet's red bar: "Please check the number and try again."
- Fixed a bug where, on Android, the phone's Back button or back gesture left SPACE when "Your devices" was open. Back now closes the list.

- Changed: the app's name on your phone now matches "SPACE" in capital letters, replacing "Space". You see it under the app's icon, in your phone's settings and notifications, and when your phone asks whether SPACE may use the microphone or camera.
- Added: to finish an incomplete entry when you log in, enter the code we sent you or recover your account, press "Continue" a second time without typing anything new. This opens the box and keyboard so you can fill it in.
- Added: when adding a user requires you to confirm your identity with an authenticator app, an error on that step now has a cross you can tap to close it and a bold "Error" title, like the app's other error messages. Before, the red bar showed only the message.
- Added: tapping the email address in "Help and Support" now starts your email with "Support Needed for Mobile App" already filled in as the subject.

- Fixed a bug where tapping the instructions, the safe picture or the empty space around the code boxes on "Enter code from device" did not close the keyboard when adding a safe. These taps now close it.
- Fixed a bug where letters entered on "Enter code from device" when adding a safe could stay lowercase. Letters now appear as capitals even when your keyboard types lowercase.

- Changed on Android: to keep you on "Home" or "Lockdown" when you use the phone's Back button or back gesture, Back now does nothing on those pages when nothing is open. Previously, it left SPACE for your phone's home screen from "Home" and took you to "Home" from "Lockdown".
- Improved: your safe's row on "Home" is easier to tap to open "Device Settings". The tap area now reaches from one side of the screen to the other, including the whole round › button beside the picture. Before, taps beside the picture or on the outer half of that button could do nothing.
- Improved: choices in your profile's "Change Avatar" list are easier to tap. Anywhere on a row, including its picture, now opens that choice, such as "Select Background" or "Select Outfit". Before, only the words worked.

- Improved: in the avatar builder's outfit list, the two men's outfits whose drawings extend past their tiles now accept taps on that visible left part too. Those taps previously did nothing.
- Improved on Android: tapping anywhere on a login code box, including its underline, now opens the keyboard. Before, tapping the bottom of a box did nothing.
- Improved on Android: the "Resend Verification Code" pop-up on the login code screen now has a more consistent look across phones. Its title uses the same size as on iPhone, and the "WhatsApp me" button uses the same width as on iPhone.
- Improved: on the live camera, the "Back", "Swap", "Zoom In" or "Zoom Out", and "Muted" or "Listening" buttons are easier to tap. A tap just beside a button now works that button instead of starting to talk, helping avoid speaking by mistake.
- Improved: on the live camera, the words "Hold button to speak" are now part of the area you can press and hold to talk, making it easier to reach. Before, pressing on the words did nothing.
- Improved on Android: if you have not allowed the microphone, touching anywhere in the middle of the live camera picture now asks for it, so you do not have to find the talk button. Previously, only the narrow strip across the picture at the talk button's height asked.
- Fixed a bug where tapping the fingerprint or phone icon on a person's card in "Users" did nothing. Both icons now open that person's page, like the rest of the card.
- Fixed a bug where, on number pads for codes, for your PIN when adding a user, and for a new phone number, taps on the outer part of a left or right key or on the back arrow could do nothing. Taps near the right edge of a middle key, such as 2, could enter the next key instead. Each key now responds across its whole square.
- Fixed a bug where tapping the version number at the bottom of "Settings" could open "Terms of Service". It now scrolls to the end of the page, bringing both "Terms of Service" and "Privacy Policy" into view.
- Fixed a bug on Android where the phone's Back button or back gesture left the "+" menu open on the "Users" tab. Both now close the menu with "Add New User" and "Allow Temporary Access", just like its "X" button.
- Fixed a bug where, on the "Lockdown" tab during a lockdown, the top right corner of "Text 911", beneath its small white dot, did not respond to taps.
- Fixed a bug where tapping the left part of the "Always on" knob in the lights pop-up in "Device Settings" could choose "Default". The "Always off", "Default" and "Always on" switch is now easier to select: tap the left end, middle drop or right end, or slide the knob to the setting you want. Before, only small spots took a tap.
- Fixed a bug where, as a guest in Airbnb mode, tapping "Checkout" could leave the app unresponsive to taps after an error loading your checkout details. The error now appears and the app stays usable.
- Fixed a bug where, when adding a safe, the safe picture overlapped the bottom edge of "Pair Device" and blocked taps there. The whole button now responds.
- Fixed a bug on Android where the phone's Back button did nothing on "Scan QR Code" or "Enter code from device" while adding a safe. It now takes you back one step inside the pop-up, so you can return to an earlier setup step. The "X" or a tap outside closes the pop-up.
- Fixed a bug where, if your phone closed the app in the background with the country list open at login, it could reopen on that list and crash when you chose a country or tapped its back arrow. It now reopens on the login screen. If your phone was left on the list before this update, choosing a country or leaving the list now takes you back without crashing.
- Fixed a bug where, when adding a user or giving temporary access, the phone number used for an invitation could differ from the number shown on screen. Invitations now use the number you can see.
- Fixed a bug on iPhone where a message at the top of the screen appeared inset from the edges while a pop-up was open, such as when adding a safe, and its words could run off the right side. These messages now span the full screen width.
- Fixed a bug where the list of your safes overlapped the bottom edge of the "Selected Device:" row in "Security and Settings", so tapping that edge just above your safe did not close the list like the rest of the row.
- Fixed a bug where, on Android, "Settings" did not leave enough room at the end of the page while an alert bar such as "Your device is Offline." was showing, leaving "Privacy Policy" hidden under the tab bar.
- Fixed a bug where the "User Suspended" message covered the back arrow at the top of a suspended user's page in "Users", so tapping the arrow did nothing.
- Fixed a bug where, on Android 15 and newer, the "Lockdown" tab did not leave room for the status bar at the top. During a lockdown, the text-message button, shown as "Text 911" with the default emergency number, and the alarm button sat partly under the clock, where the phone took their taps.
- Fixed a bug where, in "Users", when adding a user, tapping the dark area above the sheet where you type the new user's number did not close the sheet on Android, and on iPhone took you back a step, to the screen that explains how adding a user works. The tap now closes the sheet and brings back the "+" menu.
- Fixed a bug where, on the live camera, the talk button and its "Hold button to speak" words could show while "Connecting..." was still on screen. They now appear only once "Connecting..." goes away.

App Version 2.0.6 - July 24, 2026
- Changed: to distinguish your phone's notifications from the safe's own setting, tamper sensitivity is now called "Device's tamper sensitivity level". A line separates it from the notification switches on your page in "Users" and on the notifications step when you add a safe. In "Device Settings", it was previously called "Sensitivity Level".
- Changed: to meet the name requirements for creating an account, your last name is required again and must have at least 2 letters. "Sign Up" stays grey until you fill it in.
- Changed: to keep your password within the 20 characters our system accepts, the password boxes when you create an account now stop at 20. If you type more, the extra character is taken back and the app says "Password limit is 20 characters".
- Changed: when you create an account, the password boxes no longer show the copy and paste menu.
- Changed: to keep the same date-of-birth limit in sign up and your profile, your profile now lets you choose dates no more than 120 years back.
- Added: at login, tap the WhatsApp logo under "Message received from" to open WhatsApp directly, as you already could on the code screen.
- Improved: on "Create Account", the Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions tick box is bigger and has more space before its words, making the agreement easier to select and read. - Improved: the on and off switches in "Device Settings", "Security and Settings", your page in "Users", and the notifications step when you add a safe now use the same SPACE design on iPhone and Android, with a larger tap area to make them easier to use. The selected tamper sensitivity number (1, 2 or 3) now matches the switch's knob.
- Improved: when you add a safe, the "Success!" step where you adjust notifications now shows an updated picture of the app's notifications, so the preview reflects their current appearance.
- Improved: in "Security and Settings", the settings are easier to tap. Tap anywhere on the "Require pin" or "Logout after" row to open its picker, on the "Live Camera Notifications" row to use its switch, or across the whole "Change Pin" row. Before, you had to tap the small box or switch beside the words, and only part of the "Change Pin" row responded.
- Improved: "Guest Access" is easier to tap in "Security and Settings". Anywhere on the card works, including the title, "Allow non-administrators to grant one-time guest access." and the empty space beside the words.
- Improved: in "Security and Settings", "Guest Access" now makes it clearer when you cannot change it. If you are not an owner or administrator, it is greyed out and tapping it shows "Only administrators can change this". Before, it looked available and tapping did nothing.
- Improved: in the "Activity Log" filter, each event type is easier to select. Tap its name, such as "Good events (green)" or "Problems (red)", to tick or untick it. Before, only the small box beside the name worked.
- Improved: on "Create Account", the boxes now use matching lettering. "Email" and "Confirm Email" no longer differ in size from the other boxes, and "Password" and "Confirm Password" use the same font as the rest of the form.
- Improved: when you create an account, the form uses larger password dots, and the password sheet uses the same dots, making them easier to see. The sheet's dots are also larger on Android. While the password is hidden, typing and deleting happen at the end; tap the eye to show it and edit in the middle.
- Improved: the eye button for showing or hiding your password is larger and easier to see when you create an account or use "Recover your account".
- Improved: the messages that drop in at the top of the screen now match the app's lettering, using its own font instead of your phone's standard font. Green and red messages also use the same bold titles and message lettering as the app's other "Success" and "Error" messages.

- Fixed a bug where the app could crash when "Guest Access" was turned on or off before your safe's settings had finished loading.
- Fixed a bug on Android where a long phone number, such as a 13-digit German number, could have its first digit cut off at the left edge when you changed it in your profile. The number and country code now shrink together just enough to fit on one line.
- Fixed a bug where, while creating an account, closing the password sheet without tapping "Set Password", such as by tapping outside it or pressing Back, erased the password you had already set and could erase its confirmation too. Both passwords now stay.
- Fixed a bug where the grey "Sign Up" button on "Create Account" did nothing when information was missing, leaving you to find what to fill in. It now flashes the first missing box in blue; tap "Sign Up" again without typing to go to that box or open its picker. If only the terms remain, their circle fills blue and "Please Accept Terms & Conditions" appears underneath.
- Fixed a bug where, on Android, your phone did not offer to fill in details such as your email on login or account-creation screens you navigated to. It now offers them there as well as on the screen the app opened on.
- Fixed a bug where, when you changed your phone number in your profile, deleting a digit and then picking another country brought the deleted digit back, and the number keys could then stop responding.
- Fixed a bug where, on Android during account creation, the password sheet did not move for the keyboard, which covered the password box, its rules and "Set Password". Both "Please Create Your Password" and "Please Confirm Your Password" now move above the keyboard.

App Version 2.0.5 - July 13, 2026
- Changed: email address boxes now consistently stop at 60 characters when you sign up, change your email, or recover your account or password, matching the most our system accepts and preventing a longer address from being rejected after you send it.
- Changed: to keep names within the 20 characters our system accepts, the first and last name boxes in sign up and your profile now stop at 20. A full box shows "Reached 20 character limit" underneath, so you know why you cannot type more. Before, you could type a longer name and then get a message that it was too long.
- Changed: the country list now stops you picking 21 places whose dialing code our system cannot take yet, so you do not find out only after filling in your details. These include Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Guam and the Bahamas. Tapping one shows "Sorry, [country] cannot yet be selected. Please contact support so they can add it." Before, you could pick one even though our system could not accept it. Once we update our backend to accept it, we will once again allow these countries to sign up.
- Changed: before sending a code or invite to a US or Canadian (+1) number, the app now checks for invalid or unsupported numbers, including area codes starting with 0 or 1 and 555 numbers. A blocked number gets "Please check the number and try again.", so you can correct it before waiting for a code or invite that cannot arrive.
- Changed: to match the address limits our system accepts, the "State" box in your profile now stops at 30 characters and the "Country" box at 25. Before, you could type past those limits, while the "State" box opened from "Users" stopped too early, at 20.
- Added: to help prevent an accidental date-of-birth change, your profile now asks "Change date of birth?" with the old and new dates and "Cancel" or "Change it". It asks only when the date changes, and tapping outside does not close it. After you tap "Change it", the date is saved when you leave "Edit Info", with "Account details updated successfully".
- Added: a small "FILTER" label above the filter button in "Activity Log", so you can identify it more easily.
- Added: in the "Activity Log", the event legend now opens automatically the first time you open "Filter", if your screen has room, to explain what each kind of event means. After that it starts closed, and the "(i)" button still opens and closes it.
- Added: in your profile, "Edit Info" now also asks "Save your changes?" before you leave with unsaved changes by tapping another bottom tab or swiping back on iPhone, helping you avoid losing your edits. Before, those exits threw the changes away.
- Improved: while the date of birth picker is open in your profile or on "Create Account", the screen title now says "Date of Birth", making it clear which detail you are choosing.
- Improved: in the country list, sliding your finger along the A to Z letters now gives a small tick for each letter you pass, helping you follow your place as you move, like a phone's contacts list. Before, you felt one tick per touch.
- Improved: in "Users", the line under the title (for example "Your device allows you to have up to 4 users.") now sits evenly between the title and the panel below it, giving the heading more balanced spacing. It previously sat low, close to the panel.

- Fixed a bug where long email addresses were cut off in the middle when you changed your phone number or email, making it hard to check where your code was going. On "Verify your identity via", the screen where you enter your code and "Resend Verification Code", addresses now fit on one line and become smaller to show the whole address where possible. Very long addresses are shortened before the @ to leave more room for the part after it.
- Fixed a bug where the legend in the "Filter" pop-up in "Activity Log" could run off the top of a shorter phone screen. When there is not enough room above, tapping "(i)" now shows the legend in place of the filter choices.
- Fixed a bug where Android's Back button did nothing on the "Verify your identity via" pop-up in "Account Profile". It now closes the pop-up, the same as tapping outside it or tapping its arrow.
- Fixed a bug where Android's Back button or back gesture did not close each top sheet while adding a user. Back now closes one step at a time: from the "Add New User" explanation sheet to the "+" menu, from "Confirm identity to proceed" back a step, and from the phone-number screen to the step before your PIN instead of asking for your PIN again.

- Upgraded on Android 15 and newer: the app now uses the whole screen to follow these versions' screen layout rules. Its colors run behind the status bar at the top and the bottom bar, while buttons and words stay clear of them.
- Added: in "Settings", you can now close the "Logout?" pop-up by tapping outside it, giving you a quick way to cancel.
- Added: when you set up your app PIN, tapping "Setup PIN" with an empty box now opens that box's picker, guiding you straight to the missing setting.

- Changed on Android: on Android 11 and older, the avatar builder no longer shows the blue glow around the face, hair, skin tone, outfit or background you picked. The old glow stopped the avatar builder from working after the app upgrade, so it was replaced with one that needs Android 12 or newer.
- Changed: on Home, the Last 7 days count that said "Unauthorized" now says "Rejected". The guest statistics in Single Entry and Airbnb mode say "Rejected" too.
- Changed: we previously had a bug that would make the "Your devices" list take very long to appear and disappear. So now, "Your devices" no longer fades in and out. The list now appears at once when you tap "Your devices" at the top of Home, and goes away at once when you close it.
- Added: when you add a safe by scanning its QR code, we've added a flashlight button at the top right of the camera view. It lets you turn your phone's light on and off, which could make the QR code easier to read.
- Improved: when you add a safe, the grey QR code picture on the scan step now sits a little lower in the camera view to help align the scan guide with the camera box.

- Fixed a bug where, if the app's live connection to your safe could not start, for example during a network blip, it never tried again. Live updates inside the app, such as the alert bar at the top, then stopped until you restarted the app. It now keeps trying every 5 seconds.
- Fixed a bug where, on Android, opening the app while holding your phone sideways could stretch the PIN screen and push its bottom row, including the 0, off the screen. A PIN containing a 0 could not be entered. The app now opens upright.
- Fixed a bug where a connection change, such as switching from Wi-Fi to mobile data, could bring up "Setup Failed!" after you had already added a safe by scanning its QR code. The pop-up said "A user on the device has already been paired with your profile."
- Fixed a bug where "Send" on "Improvements and Feedback" could keep spinning when our server had a problem, or say "Your message has been sent!" when it had not been sent. It now stops spinning and reports a failed send.
- Fixed a bug where, after you switched to another safe, live changes to people on that safe, such as someone being suspended or made an administrator, were missed until the app next reloaded the safe.
- Fixed a bug where the PIN screen could open sideways after the live camera had turned the app sideways, for example when you left the app from the camera. Its 0 key could be off the screen, so a PIN containing a 0 could not be entered. The PIN screen now stays upright.

- The start of the biggest upgrade in the app's history. In April 2026 we began upgrading React Native, the technology the SPACE app is built on, from version 0.66 to 0.86. That is twenty versions in one jump, plus React Native's new architecture underneath. We had to: the old version had fallen so far behind that Apple would no longer accept new builds of the app, and Google keeps raising its requirements too. It touches almost every screen, so we are testing each one on our own phones before it reaches you.

- Added: put your safe into lockdown from your phone. Swipe to engage, swipe to disengage, and the app confirms each one with "Lockdown mode enabled" or "Lockdown mode disabled".
- Added: the lockdown screen now explains what it does: "By engaging lockdown, your safe's display will be inaccessible. The only way to access your lock is by disengaging Lockdown mode."
- Fixed: scanning the QR code is back. We took it out in the last version to fix it. You can pair a safe by pointing your camera at its QR code again, and if the app needs camera permission it asks, with a shortcut to your phone's settings.
- Added: scan the wrong QR code and the app tells you: "You have scanned a QR code not associated with SPACE", with a Try again button.
- Improved: after you enter the code, the app waits while you finish the steps on the safe, then adds the safe to your profile by itself.
- Improved: the activity log now opens on the last two months, and the date picker stops you choosing days that have not happened yet.

- Added: you can now edit your name and birthday in your profile. Before this, the profile was look but do not touch. Your phone number also shows up properly formatted now.

- Added: when you sign up, you give your first and last name, your email (typed twice) and your birthday, and agree to our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions, which you can open right from the sign up screen.
