Although not an exciting update, it's progress in the right direction. 

While we don’t have a huge update this month, the team is still making improvements to the safe OS and the mobile app.

🧩 PCBA Update

We are happy to announce that our biggest update is we finally placed our new PCBA test order! After working with four different factories, we’ve finally locked in the one we feel most confident with. The entire process to get quoted and to get everything in order took forever, but we’re there now.

Here’s what’s next:

• The factory expects about 3-4 weeks to get the materials and begin manufacturing the PCBAs for us.
• Once they finish that, they will ship them to our Ukraine team for testing. 
• Testing for the PCBA will take about a month. 

We are hoping that after testing, the PCBA will be approved for MP. They think it’s a high probably a rework after that will not be needed, but it’s always a possibility. (So we’re praying for it to be fully functioning without any redesigns needed. 🤞🏻)

🛠 Bug Fixes and Improvements

Even though these are just a few safe OS bugs that we fixed, we are pointing them out because they took around two weeks to properly debug, fix, and test, and working with software is time consuming:

1 – We found that at times when you lifted the safe, lockdown would not activate when it was set to. As far as we can tell in our testing, this has been fixed and working as intended.

2 – We found that when lockdown was activated from being lifted, if we used the key to disengage lockdown, the lockdown screen was removed, but lockdown alarm would still sound. This is pretty annoying because it’s so loud. We’ve fixed this. 

3 – We had found that when we switched between the safe main OS and the testing apps, sometimes the fingerprint sensor would stop working. We debugged and fixed that part and is now resolved.

4 – Because we made an update to the sound levels, certain alarms or sounds stopped working - like incorrect pin sound. We believe we fixed all of them.

These might seem minor, but we’re pointing them out because when you’re building off the work of earlier developers, and even the smallest fixes take time. Thankfully if we do find other issues over time, with OTA updates in place, we will be able to patch anything remotely. So keep this in mind once we ship out the safes - if you find any bugs, just let us know and we’ll update them for everyone.

Anything else we should be aware of? Yes, at this stage, we believe the earliest we will see a mass production run will be around November.

We are still actively seeking outside investment to sell part of the company, which would help support mass production and offset some of the losses we’ve absorbed throughout development.

• We finally placed our PCBA test orders with factory, and Ukraine team should get them within 8 weeks. Their testing will take a month after that. This means we will not begin an MP order for the PCBAs for at least 3 months. 

• We continue to make fixes to the safe OS and mobile app.

• Mass production is not projected before November.
